SQL FDMS (Comprehensive Fire Data Management) application allows the
fire/rescue agencies to simplify and enhance day to day operations by
automating the recording and tracking processes.
The SQL version of FDMS is not available at this time, but will be in the near future.
When available a complete Slide Show will be accessable here to display all aspects of the system.
Features of the SQL FDMS include:
- Application is conditionally certified to meet all of the National Fire Information Reporting System 5.0 (NFIRS 5.0) requirements.
Easily access the information with handy incident number searches, or use powerful Finder to search information on any field.
Application can be put into an Auto Sequence mode, where it will automatically determine and sequentially display the
modules (out of 11 provided by NFIRS) needed for a current incident.
- Fire Incident Investigations module monitors case assignments, investigator’s activity times and case dispositions.
- Fire Hose Inventory and Maintenance module manages fire hose inventory, testing, wetting, and maintenance/repair history records.
- Hydrant Inventory and Maintenance module manages fire hydrant inventory records. Documents and reports hydrant inspection and maintenance.
- Hazardous Materials module is a quick reference source that contains all the information in 1996 D.O.T. Emergency Response Guidebook. Provides access to first aid, emergency action, fire, explosion, health hazard, and isolation distance type information.
- Activity and Apparatus Logs module provides means to computerize daily firefighter activity and apparatus movements for EMS, Fire, Emergency, Non-emergency, and HazMat type activities. All activities logged can be viewed from the Department Schedule application by the senior personnel. Apparatus log can be configured for automatic notification of the senior personnel when it is damaged or equipment is missing. Senior personnel may insert notes that could not be viewed by the firefighters.
- Ladder Equipment manages Inventory, Inspection, and Maintenance history of the Ground and Aerial Ladder Equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance documents apparatus and vehicle equipment records relating to fuel/oil usage, mileage, and repair history for each piece of the departmental equipment.
- Inventories contains predefined inventory types, such as SCBA, Communications Equipment, and Departmental. Allows the end system administrators to create their own inventory types, as well as defined a number of inventories within the current inventory (such as compartments within a vehicle, and then first aid kit within that compartment). Track inventory reorder points, and transfer inventory items between different categories.
- Pre-Fire Planning modules provides route directions, hydrant locations, responders, emergency contact numbers, building construction, utility shutoffs and many other conditions associated with a specific address. Maintain a list of known hazards, including a one handy Hazardous Materials reference only one click away. At the option of the department, organize prefire information into a hierarchy of Complexes, Buildings, and then Businesses; any search on a particular business record returns the information pertinent to the building and complex that the business is in. Access Prefire plans built using virtually any application.
- Personnel Records manage basic personnel information (names, ranks, hired dates, etc.), along with emergency and activity information. When available, a picture of the person is also displayed. This module is tightly integrated with Personnel Scheduling.
- Departmental Schedule module is a view of departmental activities in a calendar format on any given day. Find out what is happening within the department with a click of a mouse. Also, schedule the activities from this screen for any particular date.
- Personnel Schedule allows you to define the shifts within your department, and the application will build a personnel schedule, and will mark the Kelly days. View who is on schedule on any given day, perform time swaps, assign sick time and vacations, as well as check predefined staffing levels of the department.
- Budgeted Accounts Information module provides means for a department administrator to keep track of budgeted accounts by managing account transactions and moneys received.
- Public Education documents times spent on public education programs conducted for prevention, safety, and survival skills. Tracks type of training, costs, times, and participants.
